The Kitchen House

I just finished "The Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom. This is not the type of book I am normally drawn to but this book was amazing. The characters were so well written, I was drawn into their lives and felt as if they became close friends. The book had many twists and turns and I actually found myself wanting to talk to them. The story was really well done, and truely made me feel as if I had stepped back in time. I had a very hard time putting this down. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good story.

The Girl Who Played with Fire

I recently read "The Girl Who Played with Fire" by Stieg Larsson. Overall it was a very good book. It's the 2nd in his series and having just finished the first one, I was very excited for this book. Although it was a good book, I was a bit let down after the 1st book. This book was much harder to follow, he continued to add characters and background information which almost became overwelming. Overall, it was a good read, however it was not a light read. If you did not pay attention or put it down for more then a day it was quite easy to forget what exactly was going on and who was who. I look forward to reading the 3rd book in the series.
I would recommend this book as the story line is very good and he is an excellent writer. However I would caution, if you're looking for a vacation read or something easy, this is not the book.
